Remove a mobile device

Overview
Remove a registered device from your Atakama account by following these straightforward steps.


Prerequisites

  • Atakama installed and running
  • Access to your primary mobile device


Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Access the Control Center
    • Locate the Atakama icon in your system tray
    • Right-click on the icon
    • Select "Control Center" from the menu

  2. Navigate to Device Management
    • Find and expand the "Devices" tab in the Control Center
    • Locate the device you wish to remove from your account
    • Click the "Remove" button next to the target device

  3. Confirm Device Removal
    • Click "Apply Changes" to initiate the removal process
    • Check your primary mobile device for the approval notification
    • Approve the removal request on your mobile device


Note: After removal, the device will no longer have access to encrypted files or participate in multi-factor approval processes.
