A MofNop is a generic threshold-consensus operation that requires M (the threshold value) of the N devices within a given profile to succeed (e.g., file decryption). This is known as "M-of-N".
The default configuration is an M consisting of two devices (i.e., 2 Keys):
- User's workstation, and
- User's mobile device.
Note: Keys on paper is considered a backup key and counted toward the N (number of keys) but cannot be used toward the M count because keys on paper cannot be used to approve a MofNop.
